Slumdog millionaire

நான் அந்த படத்தை விமர்சிக்க இங்கு வரவில்லை. அதை யார் இயக்கினார் மற்றும் இதர தகவல்களிலும் நாட்டமில்லை. அதன் நிறைகளும் குறைகளும் புரிகிறது. While watching I was neither interested to know if he became a millionaire nor if the climax was good/happy ending. But getting to know their life...My god.............

இப்போது இதுவரை எனக்கு தெரியாத சேரியின் வாழ்கையை தெரிந்துகொண்டேன். அவர்களின் வலியும், வேதனையும் புரிந்தது. சிக்னலில் பிச்சை எடுக்கும் குழந்தையைப் பார்த்தால் எனக்கு இந்தப் படம் நினைவில் வருகிறது. அதற்க்கு யார் காரணம் என்று யோசிக்க வைக்கிறது. வாழ்கையில் மிகவும் கொடுமையான நிமிஷம் எதுவென்றால் இவர்களுக்கு நம்மால் எதுவும் செய்ய முடியாமல் போகும் இயலாமை புரிவதுதான்.

I have seen lot of kids begging at the signals. Once I was waiting for my hubby in front of a restaurant. When I was observing a kid (begging at d signal), I saw him looking somewhere and his face was filled with fear. Suddenly he began to run to the other side of the road. After reaching the median he just kept the coins (collection) which he had in his hand there and ran away. I was perplexed after seeing this. When I was trying to make out what happened I saw a lady shouting at him and trying to chase him. By then my hubby came and I left the place. I don't know if someone took a notice of this. I didn't know why the lady chased him and why he ran. I was wondering why should a kid run away from his mother. But after seeing this movie I seem to get some answer for this. அவன் யாருடைய குழந்தை. எதற்கு இந்த தண்டனை?

I don't thank god for all the good things which I have in my life. I just want to question him what mistake did the kid/kids do to go through all this pain and agony? Why should they go through all such things for no fault of theirs?

A Wednesday!!

Yesterday night I watched the movie 'A Wednesday'. What a movie it is...I just loved it. Damn good. I got to know of this movie through one of my colleagues at office when we were discussing about recent Mumbai attacks. It just goes on for 1 and 1/2 hrs or so. After watching it I couldn't come out of it for a while. Was thinking if it's gonna be remade in my language it'll really be good. It can reach even more people. To my surprise my hubby also was thinking about remaking of this movie not by himself though :) But if any of the directors pick it up it'll be good.

Just a thought if at all if it's gonna be remade. Who can cast those roles? Perhaps Surya and Vikram can be those 2 police officers, Nazer can be the 'stupid common man' (after all he didn't let us know his name) that's how he addresses himself and Prakash Raj can be the commissioner. It just works that way. The movie will come out very well. My hubby and me unanimously selected Prakash Raj for the lead officer role. I always admire his acting...
